Widely regarded as one of the world's foremost authorities on Peak Oil, Richard Heinberg will be speaking at the Brattleboro Union High School auditorium, Fairground Road, on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. There will be suggested donation of $5 for this event. His talk is being sponsored by the Brattleboro Selectboard, the Brattleboro Regional Peak Oil Task Force, and Post Oil Solutions. It will be preceded by a dinner that Mr. Heinberg will have with the Selectboard and its Task Force to discuss, amongst other things, the subject of municipal and regional planning for the growing petroleum crisis.

The focus of his talk will be "peak everything," linking shortages in oil to declines in other critical resources such as food, water, and basic commodities.
